Stop waiting to be discovered. Go get the press yourself.
A live, four-week small-group program for business owners and entrepreneurs who are tired of watching less-qualified people get all the coverage. Four Mondays in October, 75 minutes each. You leave with a finished digital PR kit you can send to any reporter.
Mondays, October 5, 12, 19 & 26 · 10:00–11:15am ET · 15 seats
Four weeks. One finished PR kit.
Most people think getting press is about knowing the right reporter. It isn't. It's about having a story worth telling and the materials ready when someone asks. That's what we build, one week at a time.
Week 1 · Find Your Story
Monday, October 5. What actually makes a story newsworthy, and how to find the angles already sitting inside your business. We'll talk about the gap between what you want to say and what a reporter can use. You leave with three story angles of your own.
Week 2 · Write the Pitch
Monday, October 12. The anatomy of a pitch a reporter actually opens: the subject line, the first two sentences, how long it should be, when to send it, and how to follow up without being annoying. You leave with a pitch drafted.
Week 3 · Build Your Media List
Monday, October 19. Where reporters actually are, how to match the right one to your story, how to research a beat, and how to keep a list that stays useful instead of going stale. You leave with a working list of 15 names.
Week 4 · Assemble Your PR Kit
Monday, October 26. Bio, headshot, boilerplate, fact sheet, story angles, past coverage, contact info. We put it together in one link you can send to anyone. You leave with a finished digital PR kit.
Who this is for
Business owners, entrepreneurs, and experts who know they should be getting coverage and are done waiting for it to happen on its own. You don't need a PR background. You don't need a budget. You need four Monday mornings.
Small on purpose
Fifteen seats, not five hundred. You get real feedback on your actual story, not a webinar you watch in silence.
You build as you go
Every week ends with a finished piece of your kit. No stack of homework you never get to.
Taught from inside the newsroom
I spent years as a Detroit news producer deciding which pitches made air. You'll learn what actually lands, not what a blog says should work.
Fifteen seats. Four Mondays. One October.
The cohort starts Monday, October 5 and runs through October 26. Once the fifteen seats are gone, they're gone until the next round.

I'm Connie Smith. I spent years in Detroit newsrooms as a producer, on the other side of the pitch, deciding what made air and what got deleted. Now I run High Five PR, where I do this work for clients every day.
A few things that came out of it: 46 placements and 3.2 million reach in a single month for a Detroit mayoral candidate. 81 placements, 88 million reach and $1.18 million in earned media value for a financial expert who started out unknown.
None of that required a magic contact list. It required knowing what a newsroom needs and having it ready. That's what I'm going to teach you to do for yourself.
What if I can't make one of the live sessions?
Do I need any PR experience?
What exactly is a digital PR kit?
Is this the same as hiring you to do my PR?
Four Mondays from now, you could have a PR kit.
Or you could be exactly where you are, watching someone with a worse product get the interview. October 5 through October 26, 10:00–11:15am ET. Fifteen seats.
